It looks as though some Marvel’s Avengers microtransactions will be coming to a close, fans will no longer be able to purchase Fragment Extractors and Hero’s Catalysts from today.
Crystal Dynamics first brought in microtransactions in Marvel’s Avengers just under a month ago, this action was met with mixed reviews from fans after it was promised before the launch of the game that this would never happen.
Now, it seems that Crystal Dynamics has made a decision to reverse the decision as fans were less than impressed, this has left two of the most controversial microtranasctions being removed.
The games official account took to Twitter, the post read “We have decided that by the end of today we will remove Hero’s Catalysts and Fragment Extractors for purchase.”
“After considering your feedback, we have decided that by the end of today we will remove Hero’s Catalysts and Fragment Extractors for purchase,” the statement continued. “They will continue to be earnable rewards and those already earned are still usable”.
The developers will also continue to increase the variety of cosmetics that players can earn throughout the game in the near future.
