Almost nine years after its original release GTA Online is still going strong and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Regular content updates are enough to keep players coming back time after time and this latest leak could be the most popular content update the game has ever seen.
Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the most loved games in the franchise, and Rockstar could be looking to cash in on the nostalgia by bringing some of the games most loved content to GTA Online.
Matheuesvictorbr is a Portuguese leaker gaining a following for their insider information on different video games. Now they’re claiming a huge update is coming to GTA Online. Posting a Tweet saying: “Recent information I get from sources, there’s a BIG summer update coming to GTA Online, and we’ll see good connections between them… Map expansion!”
While the tweet doesn’t specifically say the content will be GTA IV themed, it does end with a Statue of Liberty emoji, a variation of the statue (The Statue of Happiness) was featured in Grand Theft Auto 4.
