Rockstar Games have finally addressed reports of players being banned from GTA Online for simply playing in story mode. Following the launch of GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced edition, it seems players have ran into a few issues as several reports have surfaced claiming players have been banned from GTA Online after launching the game in story mode.
Following a number of delays the update finally launched on March 15, however it hasn’t smooth sailing everyone had hoped for as players began to run into a host of issues with the game.
Now, it seems that Rockstar Games have finally addressed this issue on the FAQ page on their on April 1st.
The website confirms that the team are aware of the issue and that players who run into this problem fortunately are not banned permanently from the game.
The post reads “Please be assured that players are not being banned as a result of encountering this message”.
“If you attempt to join GTA Online via the Landing Page or Pause Menu you will see a more accurate message in the event of an error communicating with Rockstar Services or connecting to GTA Online as applicable”.
A number of players have even reported receiving alerts that it is an IP address ban, however it looks like the team are in the process of trying to iron out this issue.
