Rockstar’s GTA Plus memberships have been met with mixed reviews from fans, as players brand the developers decision pure “greed”.
Following the launch of GTA 5 on next-gen consoles, Rockstar Games have made the decision to add a subscription service that will give players the ability to earn cash rewards amongst other things.
Although, it seems this idea hasn’t had the best reception from fans as many have taken to social media to share their concerns on the new service.
A lot of players have been quick to call out the developers for being “greedy” as they feel they are simply using this tactic as a way to make more money on the same game without brining in new content.
The GTA plus service will give players $500,000 straight into their bank accounts on a monthly basis, similar to what we have seen with shark cards.
Rockstar Games took to Twitter to announce the new service to fans, the post read “Introducing GTA+ for GTA Online. A new membership program exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — providing easy access to a range of valuable benefits for both new and long-standing players on the latest generation consoles.”
The post was soon met with a log of negative comments from fans unhappy with the new addition to the game, although we are pretty sure that the service will still be widely used despite the initial negative reaction.
