Following the announcement of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, players have been questioning the future of Call of Duty and wondering just what direction the franchise will go in. Fortunately for fans, it has been confirmed that the franchise will not be made into an Xbox exclusive, not in the near future at least.
However, now it seems that some Call of Duty titles have made their way over to Xbox Game Pass.
Although they aren’t currently on the service at present, a huge teaser that this is in the works was discovered on the Xbox store.
Twitter user ‘ModernWarzone’ took to the platform to share the discover with users, the post read “NEW: Some Activision games (Call of Duty) have been spotted on the Xbox Game Pass Deals page. They aren’t currently available with gamepass but a similar situation occurred with Bethesda titles before they were added to game pass shortly after. Something to keep an eye on.”
While this doesn’t confirm the games arrival, it is a huge hint that this could be happening as Bethesda games that have arrived on Game Pass have also appeared here before being added to the service. It looks like we could be seeing Black Ops Cold War along with 2019’s Modern Warfare, could it be possible that we will also see Vanguard make an appearance?
Although if this is correct, it is unclear as to when we can expect this to happen but it could be sooner than we think.
It looks like fans will have to wait this one out and see what is in store for the franchise, but in the meantime be sure to check back with us a VGN for the latest news and updates.
